my cat loves this, especially the ball that lights up. She doesn't have claws so the center part isn't too interesting to her, but I gave my last star gazer to a friend who's cat did have claws, he she loves it.

My 2 kitties' favorite toy is the original TURBO SCRATCHER. Now they make them with a lighted ball. You can also buy the new lighted balls separately,so I got one. The cats went nuts for the new ball & I can often hear it rolling around in the wee hours of the night. My cats are ages 11 & 13 & still chase & play with this like kittens. My 11 yr old has had this toy since I got her as an 8 week old. The other I got at the SPCA at age 2. They've loved this toy for 11 years !

I have two 2-year old cats and two 3-year old cats. When they were first introduced to this toy, they were interested because it was something new, but they didn't go crazy about it. They don't chase the ball; when I try to get them to play with it by moving the ball they just look at it. The most use this toy gets is my cats sitting on it or occasionally scratching on the scratch pad. They already have several other scratching posts, so this toy just isn't really necessary... it just takes up floor space. Maybe a younger kitten would be amused with it.
